However, we presented a second option that gave the lobbies a state of the art design with a 1930s ambience. The design of the new lift lobby pendant was inspired by the dome in the lift car. We took the dome and inverted it to create the form of the pendant. In order for the fitting to light the space well, it was important that it also lit the ceiling.  Multiple samples and on site mock ups were needed to create the appropriate ambience.
