The design takes elements from the history of the site as a water reservoir and uses them to light the space. The dappled light from the bespoke bollards give the reference to flowing water over rapids and the under lighting of the curved seating areas provide reference to calm and tranquil water. Further drama is provided by the Moonlight effect on the grassed areas.
Below is a short video taken at the opening uses Aunty Caroline Briggs, an elder from the Boon Wurrung Clan who hosted us during the smoking ceremony.
